Cyber Lynching

Lynching —
A mob violence,
a cowardly killing
that promotes fear —
An organized crime,
a murder.

Cyber lynching
is the same,
except it is
an online silencing
of alternative voices —
A backward attempt
by few to monopolize
opinion making.

A high-tech lynching … [against those] … who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas … unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of [government bodies, opposition parties, mainstream media, individuals…] rather than hung from a tree. —Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States

Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent. —Napoleon Bonaparte
