My Sunflower

It feels like a rough December morning,
but we are supposedly in spring,
anticipating bright colors and blooming.
What a fluke is happening?!
January greeted us pretentiously acting
as if it was the new April,
so did February and March.
And now, as March comes to an ending,
the spirit of winter is just emerging
from sweet slumbering as if October is the one
that will soonΒ be departing!
Anyway, I care less about Nature’s quirkiness
as long as my sunflower shines in all seasons.

  1. Some places are cold as you are. We never had winter in NY. But one day it is 80 and the next 50 degrees. Our politicians deny that there is global warming to blame.
