Let’s not fall …

pic via insidethemindofisadora.wordpress.com

Fall is near, my dear, my peace,
So let’s not fall in love;
I have hurt once,
And I have been hurt twice.
Let’s just be and let’s dive
Into the Caspian Sea.
Perhaps not the Caspian Sea,
The world’s largest lake,
We may forever remain there,
trapped.
For now,
Let’s just wait for winter,
So I may turn into a snowflake,
And fall on your lips,
Which I don’t wanna miss.
Yes for now,
Let’s just watch the leaves falling,
And listen to the trees crying.

  1. Outstanding .. I love the idea of the trees crying. The leaves do have sounds as they fall. It must be the lack of water that makes them crunch as you walk on them. It’s what I loved about the picture. I could lie down on those leaves and daydream as the leaves fall gently on me.

Your poem is very descriptive … at the end there is a gentle stillness.

P.S. Thanks for acknowledging my pix … you can use any that fit your poetic needs.

  3. How beautiful! Despite the hurt, you have made it seem so worthwhile here… but that’s exactly how love is too.. no? It hurts… but one just CANNOT live without it… *sigh*
Especially loved the last few lines… they spoke to me in the sweetest of ways… really romantic!
